Ofsted
A message from Mr Jennings, Head Teacher
We are immensely proud that at a full inspection by Ofsted, Fairfield High School has been recognised as an Outstanding school in all areas – for the fourth consecutive time, meaning that it has maintained its Outstanding status over a period of 18 years. That single word judgement cannot reflect the exceptional work that goes on throughout our school, and I would encourage you to read the Report in its entirety to really comprehend exactly what the school delivers.
The Report reflects what we already knew, that Fairfield is a welcoming and caring school, where behaviour is exemplary. The inspection praises the breadth of a curriculum tailored to precisely meet the needs of our students, allowing them to learn to their full potential. All students make excellent progress, and early identification of support required by our learners and the interventions which allow everyone to keep up, rather than just catch up, ensures everyone achieves well. Pastoral care is also identified as exceptional, with all staff knowing students extremely well and stepping in early if they need help. Safeguarding is exemplary. At each Inspection, the standards expected by Ofsted for an Outstanding judgment, have been set higher than the previous ones, and each time, Fairfield has surpassed them.
Our staff work tirelessly to ensure that our students get the best possible education, and our students recognise and value this immensely. However, we have never ‘rested on our laurels’ and with the support of our parents, carers and the wider community, we will continue to develop to ensure that we deliver an outstanding education to all in the Fairfield family for decades to come.
