Construction and the Built Environment

Vocational courses are practical-based and sometimes involve work experience placements off site and visits to places of potential future employment for students. Now many of them also include written external exams or assessments

The construction industry employs over 3 million people in the UK alone and offers a diverse range of employment opportunities.

This Level 1 and 2 course provides a potential starting point in this highly dynamic industry. It will develop a range of skills both practical and academic, which, through applied learning in a practical learning environment, will be useful in the workplace and for future learning.

It provides a foundation of knowledge about the construction industry that will help students to progress to further study or enter the workplace, through purposeful tasks set in a construction industry context.
